The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

ORNL is investigating the effect of gamma rays in inducing genetic mutation in mice (Mus muscula) over more than 50 generations. The mice are housed in the perspex cages seen here.
